What Zackem does
Every account, one window
- Any provider. Gmail and Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com, Yahoo, iCloud, Zoho, GoDaddy, your own domain — anything with IMAP. Add as many as you have; there is no account limit, free.
- Each account by itself, or all together. Click one account to see only its mail, or "All" to see everything in one list. An email that arrived in two of your accounts is shown once.
- Replies go out from the right account — the one the email came to. If a message reached two of your accounts, Zackem asks which one to answer from.
- Each account has its own colour, so you always know which inbox you are looking at and which address you are writing from.
Mail that behaves
- Focused and Other. Other is for advertising, newsletters and promotions. Everything about your own affairs — receipts, invoices, statements, sign-in codes, tickets, voicemails, shipping, bookings, and anyone you actually write back and forth with — stays in Focused. Move one email and Zackem learns.
- Unsubscribe in one click, right from the list. Zackem recognises mailing lists even without an unsubscribe link, asks once "is this a subscription?", and handles that sender the same way from then on.
- Reading pane where you want it — below the list or beside it; conversations grouped or every email on its own line; font and interface size you can make as big as you like.
- Attachments at the top of the email, with the file's own icon and name, and open / preview / print / save on each. Paste a copied file into a message to attach it.
- Pop any email out into its own window. Click a Windows notification and the email opens.
- Keyboard first. Arrow keys, Shift-select, Page Up/Down, Home/End, and Ctrl+K for a command palette that reaches every function by typing.
- New-mail count on the taskbar icon. Instant delivery for IMAP accounts (sign-in codes show up in seconds).
- Phishing to hidden recipients is flagged.
Finding things
- Search everything, offline, instantly. Zackem keeps a full copy of your mail on your disk and indexes it, so search works without an internet connection and covers every account at once — subject, body, addresses, attachment names, and addresses that appear inside an email's text.
- Ask in plain language. "Emails from Sarah about the lease last month" works as a search.
- Click an address to see the person's card and everything with them across accounts; copy the address; add them to Contacts.
AI, only when you want it
- Reply with AI reads the whole conversation, not only the last message, and drafts in the side panel where you can tell it what you want to say, change it, and change it again — nothing is sent until you press Send. It learns from how you answered that person before.
- Write in my style. Zackem studies your sent mail so drafts sound like you.
- Fix my English. Proofreads what you wrote, shows the change side by side, applies it if you say so.
- Summarise an email or a whole thread; ask your inbox a question; find, flag, move or draft by talking to the side panel — with a microphone if you prefer.
- Bring your own AI or use ours. Connect your own Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Mistral or a free local model on your computer — or use Zackem AI with no key and no subscription, paying only for the tokens you use. If one service is down, the next takes over.
- Nothing happens by itself. AI runs only when you click. Your mail is never sent anywhere for AI unless you ask for a reply or a summary, and then that one email goes through our server to the AI provider and is not kept.
Nothing falls through the cracks
- Needs a reply. Zackem keeps a list of the emails that are waiting on you and clears them as you deal with them. Reminders at a time you pick, more than one per email.
- Fell through the cracks. It notices when it is your turn in a conversation, when you promised to get back to someone, and when a sent email still has [brackets] you meant to fill in.
- Replies ready on arrival (optional): for routine mail, a draft is waiting when you open the email.
- Plan my day. One view of what is open, what needs doing, and your calendar — updated with only what is new since last time.
- Dates found in email are offered to your calendar as a question mark — you confirm, Zackem never adds an event by itself and never adds a duplicate.
- Tasks from any email, with a reminder.
WhatsApp in your inbox
- WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business. Your personal WhatsApp (scan a QR code) and WhatsApp Business, with real names, full history, several numbers, and voice messages played and typed out. Instagram messages too.
Calendar, contacts, and the rest
- Calendar with Google and Microsoft calendars, multiple reminders, event colours.
- Contacts from every account; suggestions you can remove with one click.
- Import from Outlook, Thunderbird and other clients.
- Your default email program; mailto: links open in Zackem.
- Works in most languages, including right-to-left languages.
- "Report a problem" opens a support ticket for you — with no mail content.
- Light and dark themes; lean mode for older computers.
- Windows 10 and 11, macOS 11 and newer.
Your mail stays yours
- Zackem is a program, not a service. Mail stays with your provider and on your computer. We run no mail servers and never see your messages.
- Sign-in details are kept in your system's protected storage.
- Uninstall takes everything with it — or keep your data; your choice. Reinstalling never makes you sign in again.
- Installer signed by Emaili LLC.
For professionals
Law offices, accountants, agencies and other offices can turn on the Cases & clients add-on: clients and cases found from your mail, a "waiting for me" list per case, case briefs, and connections to Clio and billing. Off by default; nothing about cases appears unless you switch it on.
Zackem is free, with unlimited email accounts. Windows and Mac.
