Questions
Do you store my emails?
No. Zackem has no email servers. Your mail stays with your email provider, and a copy is kept on your own computer. When you use Zackem AI, only the email you ask about passes through our server to the AI and back — it is not stored.
Which email accounts work with Zackem?
Microsoft 365, Exchange, Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL, Zoho and nearly any account that supports standard IMAP, including mail on your own domain. Setup steps for each are in the Help pages.
How do I connect Gmail?
At launch, Gmail connects with a Google app password: turn on 2-Step Verification in your Google account, create an app password, and paste it into Zackem once. See the step-by-step guide.
Does Zackem work on Mac?
Not yet. Zackem runs on Windows 10 and 11 today; the Mac version is coming later, and one license will work on both. Full system requirements.
What happens after the 30-day trial?
Nothing is lost. Zackem keeps working as the free version with up to 2 accounts, and you can buy Pro or a module at any time to unlock the rest.
How does billing work?
Pro and the modules are yearly subscriptions; the bundle is also offered monthly. Checkout and receipts come from Paddle, our merchant of record. Your plan renews automatically, you can cancel any time from the link in your receipt, and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
Does Zackem use AI on my mail without asking?
No. AI runs only when you click an AI button (Reply with AI, Summarize, Translate, the microphone…) or when you switch on an automatic option yourself, such as an automatic summary. You choose Zackem AI, your own AI account, or AI on your own computer.
What are Zackem AI tokens?
Tokens pay for the built-in AI. A normal AI reply costs about one token; summaries, translation, quick replies and dictation cost much less. New customers get 20 free tokens; packs start at $15 for 250 and are valid for 12 months. Your balance is under Settings → AI.
Does Zackem AI read or keep my email?
Only the email or draft you ask about is sent, through our server, to the AI provider, and the answer comes straight back. We do not store it, and it is never used to train AI. Details in the privacy policy.
Can I bring my mail from Outlook or Thunderbird?
Yes. Settings → Accounts → Import mail from another program reads Outlook .pst files, Thunderbird profiles, .eml exports from eM Client or Windows Mail, and Apple Mail .mbox files, and copies them into one of your accounts with the folders intact. Mail that is already on a server (Gmail, Outlook.com, Mailbird accounts) simply appears when you add the account.
What does "Zackem" mean?
It comes from the Yiddish tzuzamen — "all together." Every inbox, all together, in one place.
